Dear Colleagues,

We hope that you can join us at the 'Meet TIM: Research Networking" event. Saturday, Aug 6,  5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Anaheim Marriott Grand Ballroom Salon F.  Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the Technology & Innovation Management division, identifying other researchers interested in collaboration who match your research interests may be slightly difficult. This networking opportunity is aimed at putting together academics interested in collaboration who have already identified their focal interest area, and seeing if sparks fly!

During the session, participants will have the opportunity to speak for 5 minutes with up to 9 other participants who also are looking for a new research collaborator in the same research area. At the end of the session, plans to further connect with any of the participants who sounded like potential co-authors may be made.

1. Prepare two or three questions to ask your potential co-authors.

For example:

- Are you in a position to start a new project with me?

- Do you have any stalled projects I could help jump start?

- Do you have any papers that need a critical review?

- Is there a paper representative of your research stream that I could check out to get a

- What type of contexts/industries/theories are you interested in?

- Do you have a need for my particular expertise? (i.e., research methods - qualitative feel for

your interests? or quantitative, analytical techniques, scale development, etc.)

2. Prepare responses to the above questions. Participants in each session range from doctoral students to full professors. Consider how you can leverage different individuals' experiences and expertise.

For example:

- Do I have access to data that I don't have time to analyze?

- Do I have a project that needs a fresh perspective or a new set of eyes?

- Do I need help coding or collecting data?

- Can I benefit from the guidance and wisdom of a senior colleague in the field?

Pre-registration is not required.
