    Dear Colleagues,

A gentle reminder that the deadline for this year's ETH Academy on Sustainability and Technology is on March 13.

The theme of the Academy is "Ensuring a sustainable future: Technological, organizational and institutional change". The Academy will take place from 29th of May to 3rd of June 2017, partly in Zurich and partly in the beautiful scenery of the Swiss Alps.

The academy is open to PhD students, postdoctoral researcher and junior faculty with a background in management, innovation studies, economics or political science to present their research to an audience of like-minded scholars and four international faculty members. Participants will obtain detailed feedback on their research design, theoretical approaches and methodology. In additional there will be plenty of room for informal discussions and networking with other junior scholars and professors. This year's faculty consists of:

    *Dr. Kathleen Eisenhardt*

Professor for Management Science and Engineering, Stanford University, USA

    *Dr. Inês Azevedo*

Associate Professor for Engineering and Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon University, USA

    *Dr. Volker Hoffmann*

Professor for Sustainability and Technology, ETH Zurich, Switzerland

Research of the participants should focus on – but is not limited to – the following topics:

-Innovation strategies and organizational change in the context of sustainability

-Institutions and institutional change in the context of sustainability

-Technology and innovation policy for energy, water, mobility or food

-Innovation systems and technological change in the context of sustainability

-Socio-technical or techno-economic assessment of technologies related to sustainability

To guarantee an intensive learning process, attendance is limited to 15 junior scholars. Third-party funding allows us to offer a participation fee of only CHF 450 (ca. 450 USD) which covers accommodation, meals and excursions.

Applications should be sent to Aoife Brophy Haney (abrophy@ethz.ch) and include (i) a cover letter explaining the applicant's motivation, (ii) a proposal abstract of max. 2 pages, and (iii) a CV. The deadline for application is March 13, 2017. Notification of acceptance will be given by April 1, 2017. Deadline for full paper submission (10-15 pages) is May 1, 2017.
