Post-doctoral research position, Garwood Center for Corporate Innovation,
UC Berkeley Haas School of Business
The Garwood Center seeks a post-doctoral scholar to serve as a research scholar at the Garwood Center at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. The appointment is for one year, and may be extended to a second year if mutually agreed (this would depend on satisfactory performance during the first year). The position is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2017.
The focus of the scholar should be on conducting research on some aspect of corporate innovation, and preference will be given to those scholars whose work includes the examination of Open Innovation. We welcome scholars working in either qualitative or quantitative methods. Henry Chesbrough, the Faculty Director of the Garwood Center, will supervise this position. Space will be provided in the Institute for Business Innovation, and all funding for the position will be provided by the Garwood Center.
The salary for this position will be competitive with other post-doctoral study programs, and includes benefits. Relocation costs, if any, will however be the responsibility of the applicant. The position will begin no sooner than September 1, 2017. All applicants must complete their doctoral studies, including their defense of their dissertation and its acceptance by the student's committee, by August 31, 2017.
Interested applicants should send their curriculum vita, two letters of recommendation, an article or dissertation chapter in English, and, if not yet finished with the PhD, a letter from the chair of the dissertation committee that the student is highly likely to complete his or her thesis and defense by August 31, 2017.
