Seeking Doctoral Students Interested in TIM at the University of Kentucky
The Department of Management at the University of Kentucky is looking for bright, inquisitive women and men to join our PhD Program in the fall.
We are a small, focused program that is dedicated to the development of scholars who will make original and impactful contributions to the science and practice of management. While we have a highly collaborative faculty (
http://gatton.uky.edu/faculty
-research/faculty-directory?
field_department_tid=3414
), current professors with strong interests in technology and innovation management include Ji Youn (Rose) Kim and Eric Gladstone. The department is also home to the LINKS Center, which brings together faculty and students with a shared interest in social network analysis which students can easily integrate into their specific areas of interest. Indeed, we offer our students rich opportunities for joint-research with world-class faculty (both faculty here in the department and the faculty that regularly pass through our department for conferences, workshops, and various colloquia). More information about the LINKS Center can be found at
www.linkscenter.org
.
Our doctoral students receive a stipend (currently: approx. $20K, which goes a long way given the relatively cheap cost of living here in picturesque Lexington, Kentucky) and a full tuition waiver. We also provide generous resources for regular attendance at academic conferences. Students in our doctoral program typically do not teach until their third year and then only once per academic year in order to gain marketable teaching experience while focusing on coursework and research.
The deadline for application submission for the Fall 2017 semester is February 1, 2017.
You can learn more about our PhD program (and submit your online application) here:
