The Department of Organization & Personnel Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) invites applications for a faculty position for the field of Organizational Change Management. The position is either at the Assistant Professor level or as a lecturer position (i.e., docent) for 2 years (with the possibility for another 2 year extension). Starting data is 1st September 2017.

    Job description / Qualifications

Successful applicants are expected to have practical experience in the field of change management. Further, the candidate needs to demonstrate excellence in teaching at the MSc and post-experience levels. The candidate will primarily teach in our Dutch part-time MSc program (i.e., teaching at evenings). Consequently, we are looking for a Dutch-speaking candidate, the minimum required level  of Dutch is C1 CERF, who can teach students with work experience. In other words, the person should be able to bring theory into practice and practice into theory.

If you apply for the lecturer position, a PhD is not required but preferred.

If you apply for the Assistant Professor position, you should also have a Ph.D. within the area of management (e.g., change management, OB, HRM) or a related discipline, or expect to complete a Ph.D. Further, the assistant professor position needs high quality in research (i.e., published papers and/or high quality papers in the pipeline for top management journals – see the ERIM journal list).. Thus, the candidates for an Assistant professorship position need to demonstrate the potential for outstanding achievements in research and teaching. An Assistant Professor appointment involves a tenure-track position.

The compensation package is competitive relative to European salaries and includes several secondary benefits (such as a pension plan that is partially funded by the university). Favorable tax agreements may apply to non-Dutch applicants.
