    Faculty Search: Department of Engineering and Public Policy (EPP)

    Junior or Senior Hire in 

    the Management, Economics, or Organization of Technology

     

    The Department of Engineering and Public Policy (EPP) and Carnegie Mellon University are seeking a specialist in the Management, Economics, or Organization of Technology, including innovation, entrepreneurship, and R&D policy in energy, information technology, manufacturing, biology, or other technical areas.  The candidate must have a strong scientific or technical background, and be interested in applying that technical expertise along with the social sciences to the study of technological change. The candidate should be committed to the training of Ph.D. students and to conducting research and collaboration on a transdisciplinary basis within the department and across the university. The candidate should also be passionate about developing a body of scholarship relevant to real-world policy problems.  Depending on the candidate's research interest and scholarship, the position might be offered jointly with another department or college of the university.  The candidate will play an important role in the Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Technological Change (SETChange) Program, a multi-departmental, multi-college Ph.D. program of Carnegie Mellon University and in the Engineering and Technology Innovation Management (E&TIM) master's program run by EPP.
