Making Connections, Making a Difference:  Engaging Business with Academic Work

Please plan to attend the Midwest Academy of Management's 59th conference in Fargo, North Dakota. We welcome your papers (research/teaching/practice), case-related work, and proposals for symposia, panels, and professional development workshops at this 2016 event.  A doctoral consortium will be on Thursday October 6th.

Our conference theme is inspired by a series of interviews with business and civic leaders.  From the interviews, two issues emerged: (1) businesses are concerned with talent and transitions, which entail tensions between individuals and organizations, as well as between continuity and change, and (2) a potential solution to such concerns lies in better connections between business and academia. We welcome your scholarly and creative work that fits this theme, and invite your work that is outside of the conference theme to submit to one of the conference tracks.
