Open tenure track position at Copenhagen Business School - call for expression of interest
The Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics (INO) at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is looking for a tenure-track assistant professor in the economics and management of innovation and entrepreneurship. Starting date will be September 2017.
Copenhagen Business School has more than 20,000 students and app. 450 full-time professors (assistant/associate/full). CBS thus is one of the largest business schools in Northern Europe, covering a wide range of business-related academic fields.
INO is one of the very few university departments in the world with an exclusive focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. Permanent faculty includes 11 professors, 7 associate professors, and 4 tenure-track assistant professors. To this comes app. 15 PhD fellows and postdocs.
The department is now firmly established as a leading research environment is its field, witnessed by publications in the top management journals and a strong citation record. Core research areas include open innovation, markets for technologies, crowdsourcing of ideas and solutions, factors affecting entrepreneurial success, team formation in start-ups etc.
INO has a very international and inclusive research culture, emphasizing internal collaboration and sparring as well as strong ties to other research environments. It is home to research centers such as the Mærsk Mc-Kinney-Møller Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship, DRUID, Biotech Business, and Shipping Economics & Innovation. INO hosts the Editorial office of the journal Industry & Innovation.
Candidates should hold, or be close to completing, a PhD from an accredited institution. They should have a strong research record (or potential) in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship, and first-rate skills in empirical analysis. Teaching experience and an interest in developing courses and study programs is expected.

The department will host campus visits by invitation late 2016 or early 2017. The call for applications is expected spring 2017.
