We would like to invite paper submissions for the Fifth Annual European Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SEI) Faculty Workshop, to be held on 13 May 2016 at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany (see attached).
This workshop will bring together scholars from European institutions whose research focuses on strategy, entrepreneurship or innovation. A compact schedule will allow for deep engagement with a small number of cutting-edge research projects. The workshop audience will include leading scholars serving on the editorial boards of such journals as Management Science, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Research Policy. The SEI workshop has a proud record of providing high quality feedback that has helped to shape to several publications for acceptance by high-profile outlets. In addition, the event provides ample opportunities for informal discussion and networking, starting with a dinner the evening before the workshop.
We are looking for six to eight papers, each of which will be allocated approximately 45 minutes. All participants (about 25, including the speakers) will be expected to read the programme papers and contribute to discussions.
Papers should contribute to one or more of the following broad areas: strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Since the aim of this developmental workshop is to help prepare articles for submission to top journals, papers must not already be under review, accepted, or forthcoming. Preference will be given to papers by junior faculty and to advanced-stage papers.
Please submit your paper with names and affiliations on the first page, separate from the paper itself. The deadline for the submission of papers (which should be around 8,000 words) is 28 February 2016. Submissions should be sent to
sei2016@fs.de.
A selection committee will blind review and rank all papers. The top scoring papers will be selected for inclusion in the programme. No feedback will be provided at this stage. We aim to inform authors of accepted papers by 31 March 2016.
For speakers, the consortium will arrange and cover one night’s stay (12 May 2016). Their economy-class travel to Frankfurt will also be reimbursed. Invited delegates not giving papers are required to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation. There is no registration fee for the workshop.
