Speaker: Melissa A. SchillingNew York U.
In this Plenary discussion we explore whether insights arising from TIM research could pass an evaluation often applied to patents in the sense of being novel, non-obvious, and useful for management practice. Four leading scholars of innovation management and strategy, Melissa Schilling, Phil Anderson, and Lee Fleming, will present their critical perspectives, and Chris Tucci will moderate the discussion.  We will take up such topics as how can we assess whether theories meet that bar, how "breakthrough" theories come about, and the real-world impact of our theories.  There will be plenty of time for engagement with the audience.  See you there!

    Best regards

    Chris Tucci
