    Dear all,

as the dateline for submitting your short papers
for the 32nd EGOS Colloquium in Naples in July 2016 is rapidly approaching (January 11, 2016) we would like to draw your attention to the sub-theme 42 „Managing Tensions in Innovation" that we, Katharina Hoelzle, Jochen Schweitzer and Lars Groeger, are organizing. In this sub-theme we consider and critically examine the various paths that managers and their organizations take when developing an idea towards an innovation. We are interested to better understand how innovation managers can more efficiently manage the tensions arising along the innovation journey. We propose that a human-centered or design thinking oriented perspective can help organizations to better cope with these challenges. Contributions are invited from the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking, organizational behavior, business model innovation and collaboration.

We encourage both senior and junior scholars as well as new scholars interested in this area to submit their short paper proposals. There will also be a special issue of the Creativity and Innovation Management (CIM) Journal associated with this sub-theme.

We look forward to receiving your contribution!

    Best wishes,

    Katharina, Jochen & Lars
