    Webinar Description:

    Utilizing network analysis to study complex systems has resulted in an exponential growth in our understanding and knowledge of the world around us. To be more specific, the holistic approach of network science has revolutionized the traditional reductionist approach to studying complex phenomena. Despite the fact that network theory has been in existence for nearly two hundred years ( i.e., Euler work in 1780s), it has been transformed during the past two decades tremendously by drawing the attention of different fields such as mathematics, physics, etc. Unlike the common misconception that network is only a method, theory, discipline, or episteme, it should be noted that it is the combination of all. The purpose of this webinar is to introduce the basics of network science, provide a few model examples, and discuss the applicability of network science to study hospitality and tourism phenomena.
