The first Management Theory Conference will take place September 27-29, 2013 in San Francisco, California.
The mission of the conference is to facilitate, recognize, and reward the creation of new theories that advance our understanding of management and organizations. Submissions can only be new THEORY papers.
Submission deadline is March 1, 2013 at 5:00 PM ET (New York time).
Awards to be given at the conference:
Wiley/Jossey-Bass Outstanding New Theory Award ($1,000).
Wiley/Jossey-Bass Outstanding Contribution to Management Theory Award ($1,500).
Keynote speakers include:
Roy Suddaby, editor, Academy of Management Review

Academic positions in Entrepreneurship
Department of Managerial Economics, Strategy and Innovation.

KU Leuven invites applications for a full-time position and a fixed-term part-time academic position in Entrepreneurship at the Department of Managerial Economics, Strategy and Innovation (MSI), Faculty of Economics and Business.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Research
The candidates will conduct research in close collaboration with members of the department of Managerial Economics, Strategy and Innovation. The candidates will contribute to the department's research agenda with a focus on high tech entrepreneurship. We are looking for dynamic and motivated researchers (m/f) in the field of entrepreneurship who will be able to attract research funding and expand international research collaboration.
Teaching
Candidates for the full-time position will teach courses in the field of entrepreneurship. Candidates are expected to take initiatives to further develop a new major in the field of entrepreneurship in the MSc. in Business Economics program. Specific teaching responsibilities will depend on the profile of the candidates. The candidates are expected to meet the KU Leuven educational standards for academic curricula with a strong commitment to quality of education. The candidates are also expected to supervise master theses and to act as advisors to PhD students.
Qualifications
Interested candidates should hold a Ph.D. in (Business) Economics, Management, or
Entrepreneurship.
Candidates are expected to have an excellent research record in the field of entrepreneurship. The quality of the candidates' research should be demonstrated by publications in top international peer-reviewed journals, or for junior applicants by promising ongoing research projects and papers. The candidates have experience or
affinity with empirical research in the field and with the use of quantitative research methods.
The candidates preferably have teaching experience in the field of entrepreneurship and can demonstrate strong didactic skills.

The department of MSI is one of the research departments of the Faculty of Economic and Business (FEB). In recent years several independent accreditation commissions systematically ranked the FEB highly in terms of its quality of teaching and research. Assistant/Pre-Tenured Associate Professor in Strategic Management
Lehigh University's Department of Management seeks to fill one tenure track position in Strategic Management at the Assistant or Pre-tenured Associate Professor level to begin August 2013. Candidates must have completed a research-focused doctoral degree from an AACSB accredited institution in Strategic Management or a related field. Experienced assistant/associate professors will only be considered if they have outstanding research records.
We are seeking candidates who have the ability to conduct scholarly research aimed at publication in top journals and who are capable of outstanding classroom performance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the college's undergraduate capstone course in Strategic Management. The standard teaching schedule is 2-2 with one or two course preparations per year. The ability and willingness to teach courses in the graduate and distance education programs is also preferred.
