The Technology, Innovation & Society (TIS) group of the School of Innovation Sciences is looking for a colleague to strengthen our teaching and research and in the area of Innovation Sciences. The TIS group is an ambitious, international group. Our research focuses on understanding the development and use of technology in a business and societal context. Our main research topics are the knowledge economy, the economics and governance of innovation, system innovation and sustainability transitions. Our staff teaches in the BSc programme 'Sustainable Innovation', and the MSc programme 'Innovation Sciences'. 

Your task will be to contribute to our teaching and research programme. You will be working under the supervision of Professor Floortje Alkemade and be coached by experienced staff members.More specifically, your main tasks are teaching (approx. 45%), research (approx. 45%) and management (approx. 10%). This includes:

1. Developing of, and contributing to, the courses offered in the Innovation Sciences master and the Sustainable Innovation bachelor;
2. Supervising BSc and MSc thesis projects;
3. Contributing to the TIS research programme;
4. Writing grant proposals.
5. Participating in management tasks of the department.

You are expected to have the following qualifications:

1. Hold a Ph.D. degree in Innovation Science or a related discipline (economics, econometrics)
2. Good teaching skills, preferably demonstrated by substantial experience and course evaluations in academic teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.
3. Have published in international scientific journals.
4. Have an excellent command of English.
5. Expertise in the area of sustainability is an advantage. (i.e., energy economics, ecological economics, environmental economics, sustainable development)

1. A challenging job in a dynamic and ambitious University;
2.  A full-time appointment until September 1, 2019 (starting date as soon as possible, but not later than September 2015).
3. A gross monthly salary between € 3.324,- and € 4.551,- (based on a full-time appointment), depending on experience and knowledge;
4. A yearly holiday allowance of 8% of the yearly salary;
5. A yearly end year allowance of 8.3% of the yearly salary;A broad package of fringe benefits (including an excellent technical infrastructure, moving expenses, savings schemes and excellent sports facilities).
