    • Jonathan Linton, Technovation
    • George Solomon, Journal of Small Business Management

The editors of Technovation and the Journal of Small Business Management are pleased to announce a joint special issue entitled "The Intersection of Technology and Entrepreneurship: Emerging Practices and Policies and Promises."

The target date for the special issue is June 2015.  Further inquiries about the issue should be directed to George Solomon at gsolomon@gwu.edu and Jonathan Linton at drjdlinton@gmail.com.

    Submission Deadline: January 1, 2015

As both developed and developing economies increasingly see technology entrepreneurship as a solution vector to job and wealth creation, this is increasingly an area of policy focus. As technology and associated innovation allow for existing small and medium business to maintain their competitive advantage, further develop and even grow into the large businesses of tomorrow; the management of technology for small business is critical. Consequently, the joint guest issue will explore technology entrepreneurship policy dimensions in Technovation and management aspects of technology in small business environments in Journal of Small Business Management. If papers are considered to sit at the intersection of the two areas – the guest editors will make a joint recommendation on which journal it should be considered for based on best fit and maximizing greatest possible future impact.

The intent of the joint issue in summary is to consider questions relating to technological entrepreneurship's value to society, promote technology-based entrepreneurial action in small business and consider new technology based business model development.
