    Umeå University are looking for 1-2 Post-docs with areas on OMT, ENT, BPS,
    TIM or related Positions are for full time and limited to two years each.
    The tasks associated with this Postdoc are primarily research activities
    within the research profile, “Projects, Innovation and Networks”. We are
    looking for a promising young researchers actively engaged in empirical
    research in the area of business development, innovations, management of
    technology, entrepreneurship or temporary organizing.

    1-2 postdoctoral positions in Business Administration
    at Umeå School of Business and Economics with a focus on Projects,
    Innovation and Networks

    Umeå School of Business and Economics (USBE) has over 170 employees
    including about 90 PhDs and researchers. The activities consist of research
    and teaching in business administration, economics and statistics. We have
    more than 2000 students going through our programs/year. For more

    The appointment is for two years full time starting November 1, 2014, or
    upon agreement.

    Umeå School of Business and Economics (USBE) at Umeå University advertise
    one to two post-doctoral positions within the research group Projects,
    Innovations and Networks (PIN). PIN is comprised of 15 researchers at USBE
    conducting research on business development, innovation and temporary
    organizing in general and within a number of ongoing research programs in
    particular. Ongoing research programs focus among other things on
    internationalization and networking in innovation systems in peripheral
    regions (within the VINNOVA Excellence Center CiiR, Center for
    Interorganizational Innovation Research), temporary organizing and decision
    making, e.g. in extreme environments, coopetition and how organizations
    manage the paradox of simultaneous cooperation and competition as well as
    organizing of complex projects in city development processes. The group
    collaborates with several other research groups nationally and
    internationally. We are looking for researchers active in areas related to
    one or several of the programs/areas described above and/or related to the
    research profile in general.

    The main work task is to contribute to the research environment by
    conducting research, collaborating with the community as well as with other
    researchers within and outside USBE and arranging seminars and conferences
    with members of the research group. The holder of the position is expected
    to actively apply for external research funding, individually as well as
    with other researchers in the research environment. Teaching activities can
    be included in the position at a maximum of 20 percent of full time.

    Competence requirements
    To qualify for the position the applicant must hold a PhD in Business
    Administration or have the corresponding scientific competence. Eligible for
    employment as a post doc are persons who completed their doctoral degree
    maximum three years before the end of the application period. A precondition
    is that the applicant has not previously been employed as a post doc at Umeå
    University (with support of the agreement from September 4, 2008) during
    more than a year within the same or a similar field.

    Upon selection of applicants, special attention is paid to academic skills
    demonstrated through research and publications in internationally recognized
    journals as well as prior and planed research of relevance for the position.
    Attention is also paid to the ability to collaborate and communicate in the
    academic field. The applicant should also demonstrate the pedagogical
    ability necessary to conduct teaching on bachelor and master’s levels. The
    applicants will be ranked primarily based on scientific skills and their
    research profile within the area for the position.
