Dear Colleagues,
The Graham Sustainability Institute at the University of Michigan is now accepting applications for the 2015 cohort of the Dow Postdoctoral Fellows in Sustainability.
These fellowships are designed to support a new generation of sustainability scholars who understand the necessity of collaborating across disciplines and sectors to address and solve complex sustainability challenges, with a strong focus on the interface of the social sciences/humanities and the natural/physical/ engineering sciences. We are particularly eager to receive more applications from candidates whose backgrounds are in the social sciences, humanities, or the arts so we can develop a balanced cohort that covers a truly broad range of disciplines that coalesce around issues of sustainability. Applications are being solicited from a national and international pool and are due on November 17, 2014.
Each Dow Postdoctoral Fellow has a two-year appointment in a U-M School/College, Department, or Center (like the Erb Institute) and a concurrent two-year appointment as a program fellow, with appointments following traditional academic cycles. The next cohort of postdoctoral fellows will begin their term in September, 2015. Information on the program and application requirements/process is available here: sustainability.umich.edu/education/dow/postdoctoral.
Questions about the program and/or application process should be directed to: dow-postdoc@umich.edu
