Help Create a Faculty and Senior Staff Leadership Development Program As an Assistant Professor of Teaching at Center for Organizational Development and Leadership, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
The Center for Organizational Development and Leadership at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track assistant professor of teaching to assist with development and instruction in the university’s newly formed Leadership Academy. This will be a full-time, calendar year position. There will be an initial three-year appointment with the possibility of renewal following a third-year review.

Overview:
The Rutgers Leadership Academy will offer a core leadership curriculum and modules that focus on the specific needs, issues and challenges of particular disciplinary and organizational areas for current and aspiring faculty and senior staff leaders in academic, administrative and other areas within the university.
The Rutgers Academy will be a component of the Center for Organizational Development and Leadership (ODL) —

As with other ODL leadership initiatives, the Academy will be a collaborative program that engages current academic and administrative leaders from various disciplines and departments within the university. ODL also collaborates with the Big 10/Consortium for Institutional Cooperation (CIC) institutions in academic leadership development programming.
Reporting to the Executive Director of the Center for Organizational Development and Leadership, this position includes primary responsibility for the design and delivery of leadership development programming for future and current leaders at Rutgers University. The selected individual will be responsible for developing and overseeing course content; identifying appropriate instructional delivery modalities and ensuring that program content is appropriate for the selected method of delivery and audience; and ensuring linkages with ongoing university leadership needs and initiatives.
The position will involve collaborating with Leadership Academy fellows and faculty with interests in leadership, organizational studies and higher education from across the university in the design and delivery of program content. Additional responsibilities include developing web content designed to promote Academy offerings and overseeing the Leadership Academy website.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Ph.D., Ed.D., or terminal degree in leadership studies, leadership development, organizational development, organizational behavior, higher education administration, or related area, and experience in creating and delivering leadership development programming. Proficiency with a variety of instructional delivery modalities including online or hybrid courses, webinars, and traditional in-person instruction required. Expertise in the areas of leadership, communication, organizational development, change management, and organizational culture are highly desirable. Experience in leadership education is required, ideally working 3-5 years with early and mid-career faculty and staff within a college or university.
