The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management of Cornell
University invites applications for a tenured position in our Management and
Organizations group, with start date of July 2015. This position is based at
the New York City campus, although some teaching and research may be done in
Ithaca. Applicants are sought from those at the Associate or Full Professor
rank with research and teaching interests both in Management and
Organizations generally and technology and innovation specifically.
Candidates approaching the study of technology and innovation from all
relevant disciplinary backgrounds and research orientations are encouraged
to apply. Responsibilities of the position include research in area(s) of
expertise, teaching basic and advanced courses in management and
innovation/technology at the MBA and Ph.D. levels, supervision of doctoral
candidates, and service to the School.
Johnson offers MBA, Accelerated MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. programs. Its
MBA programs are consistently ranked in the top 20. Faculty members in the
Management and Organizations group conduct research on diverse topics using
a variety of research methods. Current tenure-track faculty members are
Ya-Ru Chen, James Detert, Glen Dowell, Olga Khessina, Elizabeth Mannix,
Christopher Marquis, Kathleen O'Connor, Wesley Sine, and Isaac Smith. This
group is expected to grow over the next several years.

This faculty position is based in New York City at the Cornell Tech campus,
with continual interactions with faculty at the Ithaca campus. The Cornell
Tech campus is located in temporary facilities of the Google building in
Manhattan, prior to its permanent home on Roosevelt Island. The campus will
serve as a focal point for the city's tech ecosystem, accelerating existing
sectors of its economy, and driving the formation of new technology
businesses through close ties to customers and unique domain knowledge.
