Dear Colleagues:
The University of Michigan Energy Institute, in conjunction with the UM Department of Economics, is organizing a conference this fall on transportation, energy, economics, and the environment. I am writing to solicit papers for the conference.
The conference will be held on Friday, October 3rd, 2014, with a reception the preceding evening. The goal of the conference is to bring academic researchers together with practitioners from industry and government (of whom there are many in greater Detroit) to discuss recent research findings and exchange ideas. For those of you familiar with the POWER conference that takes place at Berkeley each spring, the concept of this conference is similar, but with a focus on transportation rather than electricity. More information about the conference, and paper submissions instructions, can be found at UM Transportation Energy Economics and the Environment Conference and a flyer is attached. Travel funding is available for speakers. The submission deadline is Monday, June 9th.
Please forward this call to other potentially interested researchers. And please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Tom
