Dear colleagues,
Hope that all is well with you. I am writing to invite you to write a chapter for the Volume III of the book series, Contemporary Perspectives on Technological Innovation, Management and Policy ( http://www.infoagepub.com/series/Contemporary-Perspectives-on-Technological-Innovation-Management-and-Policy), due for publication in 2016 by Information Age.
The first two volumes of the book series were published in 2013, entitled respectively Global Perspectives on Technological Innovation and The Dark Side of Technological Innovation. I had two objectives when editing the first two volumes: one, to be open to all potential topics that I believe need attention within the broad theme of the management of technology and innovations; and two, to promote an interdisciplinary scholarship and dialogue on the management of innovation and technological change in a global context from strategic, managerial, behavioral, and policy perspectives. Papers selected in the two volumes have nicely addressed these two objectives by their in-depth exploration of the four prominent sets of questions:
1. What are the current research interests and the global applications of the technological innovation?
2. What is the practicality of the research on technological innovation implementation to foster success and growth?
3. What are the socio-technical challenges behind innovation and creativity that might outweigh the benefits?
4. What are some of the new principles / practices / perspectives on our understanding of the global technological innovation?
The third volume will continue this dialogue by devoting itself to enhancing our understanding of the managing technological innovations and related policy and strategy issues. Potential topics might include, but not limited to, studies of strategic management of technological innovations; innovation processes, diffusion, and characteristics; the development, implementation and use of technologies; knowledge integration and talent management; organizational processes and behavioral effects of the technological innovations; technological forecasting and policies, governmental role of regulating and promoting technological innovations, etc.
If you would like to contribute to this book volume, the schedule is as follows:
- May 15, 2015 Deadline for submitting a 2-page proposal for your book chapter;
- July 1, 2015 Deadline for editorial decisions on the proposals;
- October 1, 2015 Deadline for full chapters;
- December 1, 2015 Deadline for editorial feedback for chapters;
- Feb 15, 2016 Deadline for final chapters.
I plan to have the volume published in the spring of 2016. More information on the progress of the publication is available at www.infoagepub.com .
