    Dear Colleagues,

    We would like to ask your help in identifying excellent candidates to apply for admission to the Ph.D. program in Management in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.  This recently revised program is highly research-oriented, and offers students immediate involvement with faculty mentors, extensive training in research methodology and statistics, and an open, collegial environment in which to pursue their interests.

    The research activities of our faculty include such areas as leadership, creativity and improvisation, management teams, strategic decision making, technology innovation, organizational fairness and trust, business ethics, compensation, selection, training, positive organizational scholarship, occupational stress, workplace diversity, and work-family issues.

    Our faculty have published in Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Leadership Quarterly, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Research Methods, Human Relations, Human Resource Management,  Human Resource Management Review, Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Journal of Organizational and Occupational Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and many others.

    Our funding is very competitive, as students receive stipends of approximately $33,000 a year plus tuition waivers for up to five years.  Our doctoral students work as graduate assistants, doing joint research with faculty members.
