Shawn Carraher (<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Cameron</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">University</st1:placename></st1:place>) as our runner-up TIM Division Program Chair-Elect Candidate has graciously and enthusiastically agreed to step-in and will serve as our the new TIM Program Chair-Elect.

I would like to thank the TIM members that also ran in this election.  Our TIM members and their willingness to volunteer are the back bone of the Division.

I would also like to thank our outgoing Representatives-At-Large for three years of service.  Their last official day is 08/14/06.

    Paul Bierley (<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">James</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Madison</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">University</st1:placename></st1:place>)

Request for items for Summer TIM Newsletter

    Greetings:

I am looking for any materials, announcements, or articles that you might have for the TIM Division Summer Newsletter. During the past couple of years, we have tried to include materials that might be beneficial for those members traveling to the AoM meetings.

In 2004 and 2005, the Division Chair thanked the outgoing officers and welcomed the incoming officers. The division chair has also traditionally announced the TIM Welcome breakfast, the TIM Distinguished speaker, and the TIM division meeting/social.

The past division chair has announced the outcome of the TIM division elections.

The Program Chair has included a summary of the review process (number of submissions, increase over past year's submission, number of reviewers, number of papers-symposia-visual papers-interactive papers-accepted and note of the growth in these numbers), brief comment of the PDWs, and thanks to all those that helped. Where does the program physically take place (which hotel/conference center in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Atlanta</st1:city></st1:place>), and a general thanks to the session chairs/discussants (selected from pool of referees). In addition, I would suggest noting that the reviewers can contrast their reviews with the other reviewers for the same paper-a great learning experience for all of us reviewers. I would also like to include the list of reviewers, as we did in 2004 (I presume I can get this off the Academy program cd-rom, but if you have a nice word version that would help me-unless someone does not wish me to put the list in the newsletter).

I plan to include a brief summary (title, location) of each PDW (but not organizers), and perhaps I will try to include each TIM session (title location)...

If there are any additional announcements, please let me know.

Given the AoM is coming up quickly, please send any thing you want included in the Newsletter by August 2nd.

    Thanks in advance...
