the intention to publish the paper, if accepted, either in its entirety in
the journal NeuroPsychoEconomics (ISSN 1861-4523) or in abstract form in the
conference proceedings.
. In your cover letter, please include complete contact information for all
authors including name, address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail
address. The cover letter should be written into the body of an e-mail
message with the manuscript as an attachment.

Author guidelines
. All manuscripts will be double-blind reviewed. Therefore, author name(s)

manuscript is in German, please provide an English abstract (max. 200 words)
as well.
. An extended abstract of about 2-3 pages length begins on the third page.
The extended abstract will be published in the conference proceedings. It
should discuss the main results of the manuscript in greater detail than the
first abstract.
. In the following main part of the manuscript use bold subheadings to
structure the paper (e.g., methodology, results, discussion, implications).
. In-text accentuations - if necessary - should be cursive.
. Please do not use footnotes or endnotes.
. Citations in the text should follow Harvard citation style (in brackets).
For example (Petermann 1996, p. 15). In case of two authors, please connect
them with "and". For example (Anderson and Weitz 1992, p. 19). In case of
more than two authors, abbreviate co-authors with "et al.". For example
(Cahill et al. 1996, p. 8020). In case of more than one source per citation,
please list those sources using semicolons. For example: (Anderson and Weitz
1992, p. 19; Burke et al. 1992, p. 277; Kroeber-Riel and Weinberg 2003, p.

"COGNITION IN THE ROUGH" 2007
Are you working on cognition-related research? Would you like to discuss
your work with major scholars in the field?
Now is the time to prepare for the 10th annual "COGNITION IN THE ROUGH"
workshop to be held at the Academy of Management in Philadelphia this
August.
The Cognition in the Rough workshop (CIR) provides an excellent opportunity
to discuss your research in an informal, collegial roundtable setting. Each
roundtable will have 2-3 scholars and 2-3 researchers, allowing plenty of
time for discussion. Regardless of whether you are a more senior or more
junior scholar, this workshop offers you an invaluable opportunity to
receive detailed feedback from scholars who are often editors or on the
editorial board of top journals.
In particular, many past CIR participants have emphasized how much they have
benefited from their participation in the workshop in terms of developing
their theoretical models and their planned methodology. This feedback has
been instrumental in helping them further develop and polish their research
for publication in top academic journals.
Whether this is your first major research project or your fiftieth, this is
a chance you won't want to miss!
We are very pleased that the following scholars agreed to participate:
Fran Ackermann, Elena Antonlopoulou, Neal Ashkanasy, Pamela Barr, Andrea
Casey, Janet Dukerich, Colin Eden, Dov Eden, Marlene Fiol, Peer Fiss, Raghu
Garud, Gerard Hodgkinson, Susan Houghton, George Huber, Lynn Isabella, Chet
Miller, Frances Milliken, Ronda Rheger, Kathie Sutcliffe.
Sponsored by the Managerial and Organizational Cognition Division at the
annual Academy of Management Meeting in Philadelphia, the workshop will be
held on Sunday, August 5th from 8:30 AM - 12 PM.

year's consortium consists of a set of sessions focusing on key issues such
as balancing research and teaching, work versus family, getting published in
the top journals, and how to manage your time. The consortium will feature
outstanding senior faculty members with a proven record of research and
teaching. Faculty participants include Lee Fleming (HBS), Anita McGahan
(BU), Brian Silverman (Rotman), Shaker Zahra (Carlson), Mary Tripsas (HBS),
Rosemarie Ziedonis (Michigan), Max Von Zedwitz (Beijing), and Dominique
Jolly (CERAM).
The consortium will provide participants with the opportunity for reflection
and renewal, for networking with friends and colleagues, and for meeting new
peers and senior colleagues with shared interests. Applicants must have at
least one full year of experience as an assistant professor in a post-Ph.D.
academic institution and no more than three years experience by August 2007.
To apply, please email your vita to Michael Lenox at
mlenox@duke.edu. When
you apply please indicate the month and year you started your first
assistant professor position. We will take applications for "campers" on a
rolling basis until July 1st, 2007.
