    Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship

The Department of Business Administration at the Williams School of Commerce, Economics, & Politics and the Connolly Center for Entrepreneurship at Washington and Lee University invites applications for an Endowed Chair to be filled in July 2017. Candidates will have a doctorate in Entrepreneurship or a related field, a preference for and experience in teaching entrepreneurship, have business experience, and possess a research record commensurate with the position of an endowed chair.

The position requires a strong commitment to excellence in teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. Candidates must demonstrate the capacity and dedication to conduct ongoing scholarly research consistent with an endowed chair. The position requires service contributions to the Connolly Center for Entrepreneurship's co-curricular activities as well as to the W&L community and the academy.

The successful applicant will be prepared to teach existing Entrepreneurship courses as well as to develop new courses. For example, the new chair may develop courses such as Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Entrepreneurial Finance, Managing a Growing Business, Corporate Entrepreneurship, and Entrepreneurial Marketing. Candidates interested in opportunities to work with non-business faculty to develop interdisciplinary courses that complement our growing offerings in Entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply.  Interested candidates are encouraged to review two documents before applying for the position:  the Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship Prospectus for the position and information on the Business Administration Department, Williams School, and Washington and Lee University.

Applicants should send a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and complete teaching evaluations for two years to: EntrepreneurshipPosition@wlu.edu. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The search committee will begin formal review of applications on August 31, 2016 and begin the interview process in September 2016. The position will remain open until filled.
