    The Management and Organization Department at Boston College's Carroll School of Management is seeking applicants for a full time tenure track  position, preferably at the Assistant Professor level, to begin September, 2015.

     

    Candidates must have completed a PhD in Organizational Theory, Organizational Behavior or a related field, or expect to complete their PhD by August, 2015 at the latest. We are seeking candidates with a research specialization in macro- or meso-level research that focuses on the organizational, inter-organizational or field level of analysis.  Experience and expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methods is desirable.   We seek candidates with the potential to publish in top scholarly journals and with demonstrated excellence in teaching.  We prefer that candidates show evidence of being able to teach at the graduate or undergraduate level, especially the introductory core course in organizational behavior.

     

    The Management and Organization Department combines the fields of organizational behavior, organizational theory, and strategy.  Its members comprise a vibrant intellectual community that currently includes 16 full time faculty members:  Jean Bartunek, Judith Clair, Simona Giorgi, Mary Ann Glynn, Judith Gordon, Spencer Harrison, Candace Jones, Sean Martin, Richard Nielsen, Michael Pratt, Metin Sengul, Richard Spinello, William Stevenson, Mohan Subramaniam, Mary Tripsas and Tieying Yu. The department offers a PhD program as well as MBA and undergraduate concentrations and is affiliated with several independent centers at Boston College, including the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics, the Center for Corporate Citizenship, the Center for Work and Family, and the Sloan Center on Work & Aging.
