The 2026 West Coast Research Symposium (WCRS) will be hosted by the University of Alberta from September 8-10. The full-day doctoral consortium will be held on September 8.
The doctoral consortium is a great opportunity to engage with faculty from the sponsoring institutions (Stanford University, University of Alberta, University of California-Santa Barbara, University of Oregon, University of Southern California, and University of Washington) and others, and receive feedback from these scholars on your research in anticipation of the job market.
This year, the doctoral consortium will focus on students in the later stages of their PhD programs preparing for the job market. If you plan to be on the job market in Fall 2026 or 2027, and are interested in attending the 2026 WCRS Doctoral Consortium, please indicate your interest by completing the following brief application by 5pm PST on Tuesday, June 30th.
