🧠🤖 AOM PDW | Bridging Minds and Machines: Rethinking Innovation in the Age of AI

How is AI reshaping the way we innovate — and who's really in control when humans and machines think together?

Join us at AOM 2026 in Philadelphia for an inaugural PDW that brings together leading scholars to examine how artificial intelligence is transforming the way individuals, teams, and organizations search, identify problems, and generate and evaluate solutions.

Moving beyond AI as a mere tool, this PDW centers on human–AI hybrid processes — and in particular the tension in which humans manage AI while simultaneously being subtly managed by it. By considering both predictive and generative forms of AI, we explore how these technologies reshape human expertise and knowledge in identifying opportunities, generating alternatives, and assessing innovation. Bringing together scholars from strategy, technology, innovation, operations, data science, and entrepreneurship, the PDW aims to develop a research agenda on integrating different forms of AI into innovation processes.
