    Dear TIM Colleagues,

Expectations around research impact are evolving across management education, with increasing attention to how research informs organizations, policy, and broader societal challenges, particularly as it engages with innovation and technological change in rapidly evolving organizational contexts. These developments raise important questions about how we define meaningful contribution, how research connects to practice and policy, and how the field continues to evolve in response to changing expectations.

The inaugural AACSB + AOM Research Impact Conference (May 26–27, 2026, in Dublin, Ireland) will bring together colleagues from across disciplines, institutions, and practice to engage directly in these conversations.

Sessions will explore how institutions are approaching research evaluation, how editorial practices influence research priorities, and how other fields have translated research into practice. The program also considers how funding priorities are evolving, how research contributes to policy and societal outcomes, and how impact is recognized across different contexts.

This conference builds on the work of the Global Research Impact Task Force, a multi-association effort to broaden how research impact is defined and advanced across the business education ecosystem. The resulting framework will inform evolving approaches to research evaluation and accreditation across management education.

For those working in technology and innovation management, this is an opportunity to engage in conversations shaping how research in dynamic and rapidly evolving domains is understood, applied, and recognized across the field.

I hope you will consider joining us in Dublin.
