If you are a PhD student, post-doc, or faculty member who wants to have a more confident command of the causal inference tools used in management research, come see why alumni are saying:
"I could not have wished for a better course. Indeed, for me, this is the Best Methods Class Ever, Really!"
"I am done repeating what possibly everyone who attended the class already said, so, again, this was the Best Methods BootCamp ever, really!"
The second iteration of our "Best Methods Bootcamp" runs July 7-11, 2025, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm EDT.
You may apply for the Best Methods Bootcamp via this form and complete your registration for the bootcamp here. The application deadline is July 1, 2025.
Our goal is to help ensure that the next generation of management and strategy scholars have a solid empirical foundation, so that they can be better producers and consumers (and reviewers/editors) of empirical work. Accordingly, the bootcamp covers the major issues and methods in causal inference and related issues.
Over the years we have honed a unique pedagogical approach to maximize understanding while minimizing entry barriers to econometrics. It relies on simple algebra, DAGs, and monte carlo methods, which we have found to be highly effective in our Ph.D. methods seminar. A detailed syllabus is here.
The cost is $995 for the weeklong bootcamp.
