The submission deadline has been extended for the 2026 Global Sport Business Association (GSBA) Annual Conference until Sept. 15th, 2026. Additionally, the conference dates have changed to February 9-13, 2026. This year's conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with fellow scholars and educators while sailing aboard the Celebrity Reflection, departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The 2026 theme, Ideas in Motion, reflects the dynamic changes transforming global sport business. As boundaries between sectors-such as sport, media, health, education, technology, and funding-continue to blur, we invite submissions from scholars, practitioners, and entrepreneurs that explore emerging models, bold innovations, and new paradigms shaping the future of the field.
The GSBA Conference provides a platform for interdisciplinary exploration of sport business, entrepreneurship, innovation, and pedagogical approaches. We welcome research from all fields that is theoretical, empirical, or applied in nature, as well as innovative teaching cases and classroom practices.
Abstract Submission Deadline: Sept. 15, 2025
    Tracks for Submission:
    – Sport Business (e.g., marketing, management, finance, economics, policy)
    – Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology (e.g., NIL, venture development, venture funding, digital transformation)
    – Pedagogy (e.g., teaching cases, instructional innovations, experiential learning, curriculum design)
    Conference Features:
    – Research Grants
    – Doctoral/Student and Early Career Consortium
    – Learning Treks (new in 2026)
    – Networking Opportunities
Submissions may be for oral presentations or poster sessions. We encourage contributions from scholars across disciplines who are engaged in advancing research, practice, and education in sport-related fields.
