Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS) Paper Development Workshop (PDW) will be held in Beijing on May 17, 2026 (CST), jointly organized and sponsored by leading Chinese institutions-Tsinghua University (principal host), Renmin University of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University and Tongji University.
Event Overview: The Asia Pacific region, particularly China, has witnessed a significant surge in IB research activities and output. This has been fueled, in part at least, by rapid digital transformation, the diffusion of artificial intelligence, and evolving geopolitical developments that have altered the dynamics and nature of international business. Despite this growth, structured professional development opportunities for scholars in the region remain scarce. This JIBS-Tsinghua PDW seeks to address this gap by providing emerging scholars with rigorous developmental feedback and editorial mentorship from JIBS editors, thereby enhancing the academic quality and global visibility of IB scholarship originating from the region. This PDW will offer structured editorial mentoring to scholars across China and neighboring countries. It aligns with AIB's mission to support global scholarly development and will engage a growing regional author base.
