Leadership is a topic that attracts growing interest across nearly all AOM divisions-from entrepreneurship and strategy to technology, organizational behavior, and management. Whether you study founders, executives, or team leaders, understanding and publishing leadership research has become a key skill for scholars across disciplines.
To support researchers working on leader- or leadership-related studies, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam offers the online Winter School course "Publishing Leadership Research in Top-Tier Journals" (12โ16 January 2026). This intensive one-week program helps participants develop, refine, and publish their work in high-impact journals.
The course combines expert lectures, individualized feedback, and small-group workshops organized into four tracks: conceptual papers, systematic literature reviews, as well as qualitative and quantitative studies. You will work directly with an experienced faculty team including Jost Sieweke (coordinator), Agnes Bรคker, Omar Solinger, Kathleen Stephenson, and Mark van Vugt. To wrap up the winter school, you will meet a panel of editors from top journals to learn more about the publication process.
Participants will receive 2 ECTS upon successful completion. Whether you're refining an idea or finalizing a manuscript, this Winter School offers concrete strategies to strengthen your theoretical framing, methodological rigor, and publication success.
