The Department of Social Sciences and Business at Roskilde University, invites applications for a position as assistant professor in business, with a focus on data analytics, cross sectoral partnerships, and business development. The position is available from November 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is limited to 4 years.
The context of business and management today is complex and changing. Complexity and change are not least due to AI and the availability and use of data in still more sophisticated ways. Our business section looks to develop its research and teaching at the interface of management and data analytics (including AI), and particularly welcomes applicants with interests and/or ideas on research for instance in: Data analytics for decision-making in changing contexts; Management of value creation and partnerships; Entrepreneurship, innovation, and organizational change in a Danish and regional context. This list is not exhaustive.
As assistant professor we expect you to maintain a steady rate of high-level research publications. We expect further that you attract research grants and other types of external funding; manage research projects; engage in industry outreach; participate actively in one or two research group(s) at the department and partake in the development of our teaching activities. There may be an option to enter a tenure track programme when such a programme becomes operational at Roskilde University late 2026 or early 2027. Due to teaching and outreach activities in Danish, ability to teach in Danish is an asset and successful candidates who do not speak Danish (or possibly Swedish or Norwegian) will be requested to acquire the necessary skills in Danish within the first two years of service.
