Applications are invited for three tenure-track or tenured positions in Strategic Management in the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. The rank is open and will depend on a candidate's experience and qualifications. The planned appointment start date is July 1, 2025.

If you are attending the 2024 Academy of Management Annual Meetings in Chicago, please note that we are not planning to have formal interviews there. However, our representatives will be at the Social Issues in Management (SIM) division's Social (reception), which is being partially-sponsored by the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. Candidates must have completed or be near completion of a Ph.D. specialized in Strategic Management. At the Assistant Professor rank, candidates must display a promising research agenda in the field of Strategic Management and present experience or interest in teaching in Strategic Management. At the higher ranks, candidates must demonstrate a strong research record of high-quality publications that focus on Strategic Management. Candidates must also show an established research program with evidence of ongoing research productivity and successful experience in academic teaching in Strategic Management. Successful candidates close to completion of their doctoral degree may be appointed to a term position at the rank of Lecturer until successful completion of their degree, at which time they will begin their probationary appointment as an Assistant Professor.

Duties include research, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, student mentorship and supervision, and professional service for the School, the University, and the community. The normal teaching load at the Asper School is four courses (e.g., 2 + 2), with a 3 course load in the initial year. Salary is competitive. Salary and rank will depend on qualifications, experience as well as research and teaching records. Substantial start-up research funding is provided to all new faculty members, as is a fully paid six-month sabbatical after three years.
