The ESADE Institute for Innovation and Knowledge Management (IIK) is searching for a Post-Doctoral Researcher to join a team investigating innovation and sustainability in the energy sector and beyond. The project offers full or part-time research opportunities, salary, and data access. The candidate will work with co-principal investigators Ivanka Visnjic (ESADE) and Felipe Monteiro (INSEAD). Late-stage doctoral candidates, as well as assistant professors, are invited to apply.

The Project
The pursuit of sustainable innovation is becoming increasingly important for all corporations. If approached correctly, sustainable innovations can solve societal problems while simultaneously retaining value and creating profit.

Our objective is to provide insight and offer significant learning opportunities on the benefits of sustainability and innovation for scholars, business leaders, and public policymakers.
You will be directly involved in all aspects of the research and have full access to our partner's project-level data, upper management, and ecosystem. This project will give you excellent access to the community of scholars working on sustainability and innovation topics in top European and American business schools and a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with a major energy company.
The Position
Candidates should be passionate about sustainability and innovation and how advances in technology and business models affect business and society.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Spanish or Italian are a plus) with strong quantitative analytical skills. Experience with qualitative (e.g., case study, content analysis) and other quantitative (e.g., survey, statistics) methods are a plus.

This is a full- or part-time position starting Fall 2022, with a flexible start date between September and October. The position has a starting annual salary of 30.000€ (negotiable). The contract duration will be one year, with the possibility of extension. The job is based at ESADE in Barcelona. There is a possibility for remote or part-time work on a case-by-case basis. Last-stage Ph.D. candidates and assistant professors will also be considered.
