Call for Papers: Organization Studies special issue on "Platform Organizations and Societal Change"
Scope:
The goal of this special issue is to provide a forum for organizational scholarship on market and nonmarket dynamics of digital platforms. Specifically, we invite papers examining
(1) processes, practices, and rhetoric through which digital platforms promote new knowledge paradigms and social structures
(2) how, when, and with what effects digital platforms alter established organizations (like incumbents, public administrations, social movements, etc.)
(3) the responses to digital platforms, and the dynamics these responses set in motion.
We welcome diverse theoretical perspectives and are open to various methods.
