Organization Science, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, will offer a paper development workshop (PDW) at Hotel Icon in Hong Kong on December 8, 2025.
The goal of the PDW is to help scholars in this region position their manuscripts for possible submission to Organization Science. The workshop will be led by Prof. Lamar Pierce (Editor-in-chief, Washington Univ. in St. Louis). Confirmed senior/deputy editors of Organization Science include Guoli Chen (INSEAD Singapore), Gokhan Ertug (SMU), Andrew Knight (Washington Univ. in St. Louis), Jackson G. Lu (MIT), Alex Murray (U Oregon), Giacomo Negro (Emory), Danqing Wang (HKUST), and Yanbo Wang (HKU). The editorial team will provide information about publishing in Organization Science, and then provide face-to-face feedbacks/comments in paper presentations and roundtable discussions.
Prospective participants are invited to submit their research proposals to this link with the subject "PolyU OS PDW" by September 15, 2025. Each participant may submit only one proposal. Please include in a single PDF file (1) a cover page with all authors' names, e-mails, and affiliations; and (2) the research proposal (extended abstract only, no more than 7 pages, double-spaced, excluding tables, figures, and references). Authors will be notified about the status of their submissions by October 15, 2025. More details about the registration and local arrangements will be provided in the acceptance letter.
We encourage early-career scholars, including both Ph.D. students and junior assistant professors, to submit their proposals. PolyU's Department of Management and Marketing will support the travel of three junior scholars (Ph.D. students and junior assistant professors traveling from non-Hong Kong regions) with excellent proposals (up to 10K HKD each participant).
The PDW will be free for participants with accepted research proposals. Coffee, pastries, and lunches will be included as part of the registration. About the host institution. This PDW is funded by the Department of Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
