Reminder: Call for Abstract and Chapter Submissions: The Springer Nature Handbook of Hybrid Intelligence
We are delighted to announce the upcoming publication of the authoritative Handbook of Hybrid Intelligence (HI) by Springer Nature, a comprehensive reference work exploring the transformative synergy between human and machine intelligence.
Hybrid Intelligence is introduced as a novel paradigm where human and machine/AI cognitive systems are designed to co-evolve and co-develop. This reference work transcends traditional AI literature by focusing on hybrid intelligence theories, methods, and tools for creating deeply integrated, collaborative systems between human and machine/AI intelligence. We assert that this is essential for addressing disinformation, enhancing foresight, addressing complex, real-world issues, and advancing domains such as enterprise and organizational ecosystems, global peace, inclusive prosperity, and climate resilience, while considering ethical issues associated with AI.

This handbook provides an interdisciplinary and rigorously balanced perspective, featuring insights from leading researchers and practitioners. We cover the conceptual foundations, cutting-edge technologies, and ethical implications of HI across critical domains:

Call for Contributions

Submission Requirement: Abstracts (approx. 300 words)
Abstract Submission Before: December 15, 2025
Notice of abstract acceptance: January 25, 2026
Final Chapter Submission Before: June 30, 2026 (for publication with Springer Nature)
To maintain the highest academic rigor, all submitted chapters will undergo a thorough, multi-stage peer-review process, including independent assessment by editorial and external scholars.
