The Center for Technology, Strategy & Sustainability (CTSS) at the Asia School of Business is hosting the first Social Science Perspectives on Technology Symposium (SPOTS) and is calling for paper submissions.
With growing global interest in artificial intelligence (AI), this two-day symposium aims to spark meaningful discussions among academics and industry experts. Grounded in an academic platform, we invite research that explores social science perspectives on emerging technological trends following the theme, SocScAI: Social Science + AI.
The symposium encourages dialogue around the transformative impact of AI on society. Exploring these and similar issues is especially important given the considerable anxiety and hype that a new technology with wide-ranging applications can trigger. While the development of AI has been due to extraordinary technological and scientific progress, ensuring AI becomes embedded in ways that benefit human society is the next grand challenge.
