  • Are you interested in serving on the MC Executive Committee?

Attention future MC leaders! In the coming weeks, nominations will open for two positions.

    1) PDW Chair
The PDW Chair creates and implements the PDW Program and supports the Division Doctoral Consortium. The PDW Chair-Elect will normally progress through the hierarchy of offices over the three following years (i.e., to Program Chair, Division Chair, Immediate Past Division Chair). The PDW Chair is expected to regularly attend executive committee conference calls, see to the duties of each respective office as they progress through the leadership track, and take an active role in leading the division.

    2) Representative at Large (three vacancies)
Representatives at large are part of the Executive Committee and serve as liaisons with the consulting community and the academic membership. Candidates must be willing to get involved in the development of the division, regularly attend executive committee conference calls, and assist with one or more projects (e.g. newsletter).

If you would like to learn more about the election process and the opportunity to serve, email me at mcdivisionaom@gmail.com to start the conversation.

Thank you for supporting the division.

Best- Tonya Henderson, Immediate Past Chair
  • AI: from Harvard to Vancouver

    AI: from Harvard to Vancouver

Thanks to all of you who contributed to AI conference at Harvard University. This conference gathered members of MCD and AOM's OCIS division (Organizational Communication and Information Systems) on August 8th 2019. The conference was managed by the "AI-IM" research network and management institute. Leading experts from OCIS and MCD including Eric Sanders, Uzonna Olumba and Daniel Degravel, provided talks about the latest developments in AI and the way it impacts both organizations and management consulting. The afternoon was then devoted to round tables including the specific practices of consulting related to implementation issues and the way AI changes both consulting and consultants.

What are the next steps for our AI / MC community? Preparing the pre-AOM conference in Vancouver, and why not submitting a PDW like the one that was also accepted last year in Boston
