Thank you for sending this, Matt. Ed was a giant in our field, and generously shared his knowledge. Last October, he spoke via Zoom to an Honors class of mine that had just read the second edition of Humble Inquiry. They asked some good questions and he asked some of them also. He challenged them to practice using humble inquiry in trios (with a questioner, an answerer, and an observer) which we did the following week. It was a pleasure to share that time with him, and I hope my student appreciate it more as time goes on.
He and I spoke and exchanged emails a number of times about ten years ago as he was working on his autobiography. It was a pleasure to get to know him better, and discuss the drafts with him as I was researching and writing about characteristics and activities of scholar-practitioners, for whom he is a wonderful model. I will miss him, as will many, many others.
Thanks again,
Eric
