We noted with interest the current focus on 'Advancing bothTheory and Practice of Consulting'. We thought it might be worth mentioning a relatively recent paper we published that specifically seeks to address this issue. It reports a long action research project focusing on strategy development. It shows the use of theory in consulting practice and how this enables theory development.
We thought it might be worth mentioning this because the paper is published in a European Operational Research journal and so might not have been seen by members of the MC division. We think it is likely to be of interest to MC members.
