The DEI plenary will take place Sunday August 06, 02:00 PM - 03:30 PM, Suffolk, Marriott Copley Place (session 19922). Come join us for this landmark plenary, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the division!

We have come a long way since our founding as the (Status of) Women in Management Interest Group and Minorities Interest Group in 1973/74. This is an important foundation from which we have grown and changed. Ten years later, in 1983, we became an official Division of AOM--Gender and Diversity in Organizations. This year we also celebrate our new division name: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). 

DEI researchers and practitioners have deployed immense work to move out of the margins of what matters for management and the workplace, yet around the globe – and not least in the US – we see worrying legislative setbacks accompanied by symbolic and physical violence against minorities. 

We hope you will join us for this special plenary that will take the form of a panel discussion with DEI members from around the world, and including both longstanding members and more recent joiners. The audience will also get opportunities to contribute to the discussion. Our amazing panelists are: Stella Nkomo, Gary Powell, Eddy Ng, Poonam Barhoi, and Anna Gorska. Moderator: Florence Villesèche.
