50th Anniversary

50th Anniversary celebrations

Jenny Hoobler (anniversary special committee) and Florence Villesèche (communication committee)

We have come a long way since our founding as the (Status of) Women and Minorities in Management Interest Groups in 1973/74. This is an important foundation from which we have grown and changed. Ten years later, in 1983, we became an official Division of AOM--Gender and Diversity in Organizations. This year we also celebrate our new division name: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). We will have anniversary events in Boston, and will start celebrating online with two anniversary special projects: 50 faces of DEI, and 4 interviews with founding members. You will find these below, and we will share them on social media as well. We ask you to please share these with others, too!  Let’s spread the word about DEI!

Come celebrate with us in Boston. Check out all of our AOM DEI division conference events.
