AMJ Paper and Idea Development Online Workshop
    May 20, 2020 5:00 to 8:00 PM EDT

The editorial team of Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) invites applications for a Paper and Idea Development Workshop to be hosted online on May 20, 2020. The goals of the workshop are to provide information about the AMJ review process and develop ideas and working manuscripts with the aim of later submission for review at AMJ. Consistent with the mission of AMJ, submissions on all management-relevant topics, at all levels of analysis, and using all empirical methods are invited for the workshop.

    About the Workshop
The workshop will include presentations by members of AMJ's editorial team and small group discussions with participants. There is no fee for attending the workshop. A tentative agenda is below.

    Application Process and Deadline
Participation is by application only. Interested scholars should register online (https://bit.ly/amj-pdw) and submit an extended abstract (no more than 5 pages of text) of their paper proposal directly to AMJ Associate Editor Andrew Knight via email (knightap@wustl.edu) with an email subject that reads "AMJ May 2020 Workshop" by May 8, 2020. Submissions from both faculty and doctoral students are welcome. Your submitted abstract should describe the project, the intended theoretical contribution, the research design, the empirical approach, and the status of the paper idea to date. We will accept as many proposals as possible; however, due to the small group format, we will not be able to accept all proposals.

It is possible to attend the opening and closing portions of the workshop without submitting an extended abstract. However, you will still need to register to receive an invitation to the virtual session. To register without submitting an abstract, please visit https://bit.ly/amj-pdw.
If you have any questions and inquiries, please contact Andrew Knight (knightap@wustl.edu).
