Do you identify as female, have taught in a post-experience program (e.g., MBA), and faced difficulties managing students? Join us for our PDW on "Teaching MBA: Why Is It More Difficult for Female Instructors in Comparison to Male Instructors". https://cdmcd.co/zEAkR8
Sunday 27th, 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Bella Center Copenhagen, MR174/175
Sponsors: HR, OB
The goal is to learn from senior and junior scholars how female academics can manage post-experience students in an MBA program, especially when they face challenging situations. This involves shared learning between (a) workshop participants who have experience teaching post-experience (MBA) students in a cross-cultural/international setting, and (b) those who are expected to teach in an MBA program and who would like to improve the way they manage the students.
In this PDW, participants are encouraged to discuss the issues presented by the panellists and develop and add to those ideas through additional contributions. The discussion groups will facilitate interaction between experienced and junior scholars, thereby serving as innovative and creative incubators for teaching ideas. At the end of the discussion session, each group will be asked to report a summary of their discussion and share their takeaways with the other groups to promote a greater collective understanding of post-experience student teaching.
Panellists:
Professor Michelle Brown (The University of Melbourne, Australia)
Professor Paula Caligiuri (Northeastern University, USA)
Organizers/panellists:
Professor Sachiko Yamao (Keio University, Japan)
Dr. Sunanda Nayak (FORE School of Management, India)
Organizers unable to attend:
Professor Karin Sanders (University of New South Wales, Australia)
Dr. Melodie Cartel (University of New South Wales, Australia)
We look forward to seeing you in Copenhagen!
