When: Sunday August 7 (1:45 – 3:15 PM PT)
Location: Seattle Convention Center Room 210 + Zoom
Description: While research on motherhood and work has been the subject of numerous studies over the last few decades, these studies primarily focus on the experience of working mothers or soon-to-be mothers. However, for a growing number of women, their plans for having a family do not materialize due to infertility, frequent miscarriages, pregnancy complications, or merely not finding the right partner during their fertile years. In this symposium we bring together scholars who will share their current work that broadens the notion of motherhood and its intersection with work. Following presentations, our discussant will kick off what is sure to be a lively discussion on the presented research.
We look forward to seeing you.
