Call for Proposals: Student-Led Replication Studies in Management Research

    Deadline: June 30, 2025

The Advancing Replications in Management (ARIM; arimweb.org) initiative is pleased to announce a competitive call for student-led replication proposals focused on topics that are relevant to the Academy of Management's (AoM) OB, HR, and DEI divisions. We invite PhD students to submit an initial outline for replication studies they wish to undertake.

    Objective

This call aims to support rigorous, transparent, and meaningful replication of management research. ARIM's mission is to support doctoral education through replication research that focuses on building knowledge, not tearing down prior research. Selected proposals will receive mentorship from experienced researchers affiliated with ARIM, who will help students develop their projects into publishable contributions.

    Selection and Support

This is a competitive process. Selected proposals will be matched with an appropriate faculty mentor from ARIM's network. Mentors will actively support the research development and serve as co-authors on the project.

    Students selected will gain:

    • Direct mentorship from a researcher with experience conducting replication research.
    • Feedback and development support throughout the research process.
    • A potential pathway to a co-authored publication.

    Eligibility

    • Open to PhD students in management or related disciplines (e.g., I/O psychology, economics, sociology) who are currently conducting research that is relevant to AoM's OB, HR, and DEI divisions.
    • Students may submit individually or as small teams (max 3 students per team).
