Dear CMS community, I would like to bring to your attention the call for 2026's edition of the Capri summer school.
Its aim is to foster knowledge and methodologies among young scholars settling a challenging and stimulating context in one of most charming places in the world: the Island of Capri.
Everything about this experience feels truly magical-almost impossible to capture in words. The school offers early scholars (from PhD students to early-career academics from around the world) a chance to meet in an informal, spontaneous environment and engage with an outstanding faculty. Capri summer school's activities include seminars dedicated to qualitative methodologies, as well as plenty of opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and group work-set in a unique venue: Villa Orlandi, a historic villa in beautiful Anacapri.
When I attended as a participant years ago, I gained so much from this experience: I met co-authors, made friends, and connected with people I admire and trust.
The school is organized by the Department of Economics, Management, and Institutions (Dipartimento DEMI | UniNa) of University of Naples Federico II (Italy), in partnership with the British Academy of Management, the Italian Academy of Business Administration and Management (Accademia Italiana di Economia Aziendale - AIDEA), the Italian Association of Organization Studies (ASSIOA - ASSociation of Italian Organization studies Academics), and the Department of Public Health – University of Naples Federico II.
The Organizing Committee, among others, includes Andrea Tomo, Lucio Todisco, Lorenzo Mercurio, Gianluigi Mangia, Paolo Canonico, Federica Langella, as well as myself.
